The Saleem Times Education Initiative is a grassroots movement dedicated to dismantling educational poverty in rural Pakistan — one child, one classroom, one community at a time.
Universal Access
Ensuring every child in underserved rural areas has access to quality education regardless of gender, background, or economic status.

2024 · Punjab
🏗️New School Construction — Rahim Yar Khan
Constructed 6 primary schools in flood-affected villages of Southern Punjab, restoring education for over 900 displaced children following the 2023 monsoon crisis.

👧Girls’ Education Drive — Jacobabad
Launched an intensive enrolment campaign in Jacobabad district, one of Pakistan’s most gender-unequal education zones, resulting in a 40% rise in female student attendance.

☀️Solar Computer Labs — Swat Valley
Installed solar-powered computer labs in 8 schools across Swat Valley, giving 1,200 students their first access to computers and internet-based learning resources.
2023 · Balochistan
🎓Teacher Training Programme — Quetta
Conducted a 12-week certified training programme for 180 government-school teachers in Balochistan, covering modern pedagogy, child psychology, and Urdu/Math curriculum delivery.

📦Free School Supply Campaign
Distributed over 12,000 school kits (uniform, bag, stationery, textbooks) to enrolled students across all partner districts, removing the most common financial barrier to attendance.

🚌Mobile School Vans — Thar Desert
Launched Pakistan’s first solar-powered mobile school programme in Tharparkar, where geographic isolation prevents children from reaching fixed schools. Currently serving 14 remote settlements.

School Construction & Renovation
We build permanent or semi-permanent school structures in areas with no functional school within 5km. This includes basic sanitation, boundary walls, and all-weather roofing essential for year-round learning.
InfrastructureScholarships & Stipends
Providing monthly stipends to families to compensate for the opportunity cost of sending children to school instead of working. Our scholarship programme covers girls and children with disabilities first.
Financial AidTeacher Recruitment & Training
Hiring local graduates and putting them through a rigorous 12-week training programme. Trained teachers receive a competitive salary, incentivising them to stay in their communities long-term.
Human CapitalDigital Learning Infrastructure
Installing solar-powered tablet labs, smart boards, and offline educational software suites (Khan Academy Lite, etc.) in schools that lack grid connectivity — bringing 21st-century learning to the 21st century’s most forgotten children.
